Avoid direct, harsh sunlight, which can scorch the leaves and cause yellowing or browning. 

Watering

Water only when the top inch or two of soil feels dry to the touch. 

Overwatering is the most common cause of problems and can lead to root rot. 

Underwatering can cause leaves to droop and become crispy. 

Soil

Use a well-draining potting mix that contains organic matter, such as coco coir, and perlite or vermiculite.

Repotting 

Repot your variegated philodendron into fresh soil every one to two years or when it doubles in size to refresh nutrients and prevent salt buildup.
