Duranta erecta, also known as the golden dewdrop, is a tropical shrub or small tree with showy flowers and fruits: 

Appearance: The plant has light green leaves, light blue to purple flowers, and yellow-orange berries. 

Growth: It can grow up to 20 ft tall and wide, but is usually 2–4 ft tall in regions where it dies back in the winter. 

Light: It can tolerate partial shade, but blooms best in full sun. 

Water: Water enough to keep the soil moist, but not wet for extended periods. 

Toxicity: The plant is highly toxic, especially its fruits and leaves, which contain isoquinoline, saponin glycosides, and hydrocyanic acid. 

Hardiness: It is hardy in USDA zones 9B through 11. 

Uses: It can be grown as an annual outdoor shrub or potted houseplant. It can be used for beds and borders, hedges, Mediterranean gardens, or containers. 

Propagation: It can be propagated by seed or stem cuttings. 

Pruning: Renewal pruning is needed occasionally to maintain a dense manageable form.
