Euphorbia mauritanica, or yellow milk bush, is a spineless Southern African succulent shrub with pencil-thin, gray-green stems. It grows 2-4 feet tall and wide, producing clusters of bright yellow flowers in late winter/early spring. It's drought-tolerant, deer-resistant, and thrives in full sun and well-drained soil (USDA zones 9-11). Its milky sap is an irritant. Easy to propagate from cuttings.
